East Fishkill is located about 65 miles North of NYC. We are basically at the cross roads of Interstate 84 and the Taconic State Parkway. (About 20 minutes South of Poughkeepsie, 20 minutes East of Newburgh and the NYS Thruway & 30 minutes West of Danbury, CT). East Fishkill Roller Hockey is a USA Hockey Inline sanctioned league. The league is a not for profit club. Our rink is located outdoors on recreation property owned by the Town of East Fishkill; in the hamlet of Hopewell Junction. Our rink surface is asphalt with a tennis court type smooth finish applied. The rink boards are wood with the internal surface covered with polyethylene boards. The rink is 185 feet X 85 feet. The game in East Fishkill is played with a Z-puck. Games are played in a 4 on 4 format plus a goalie.

  

Our intramural league begins in April and ends in June. We take a break in July and August and begin again in September through November. Our travel teams play April through September. We currently host 35 intramural teams and 5 travel teams with over 450 participants ranging from age 6 through adult. Our divisions are broken down as follows: InHouse - Atoms (5-6), Mites (6 thru 8), Squirts (9-10), Junior (11-13), High School (14-17) and Adult (18 and over). Travel - Mites (6-7), Squirts (9-10), Peewees (11-12), Bantams (13-14) and Midgets (15-17). All ages are as of December of the previous year for our current season.

We currently have travel teams in all divisions except adult. Most of our current travel takes place in a 30 mile or so radius. We play teams from Ossininig, NY, Bear Mountain, NY, Washingtonville, NY, Pearl River, NY, Monroe, NY, Danbury, CT, Waterbury, CT and Albany, NY. At East Fishkill, the following safety equipment is required for all age divisions: HECC certified hockey helmet, full certified face cage or full certified transparent face shield, shin guards, male protective cup (groin protection is required for both males & females), elbow pads, hockey gloves and mouth guard. Water bottles are part of equipment (players should bring their own). Of course, all players will be required to wear in-line skates.
