Opening Day – Sunday, April 3

Opening Day will be held on Sunday, April 3 at the rink. The day will start with scrimmage games and end with a skills competition. There will be an equipment swap set-up by the bleacher area. Any item left over will be donated to Re-Run Sports. All items donated need to be in great condition. East Fishkill Roller Hockey Dragon t-shirts, water bottles and magnets will be on sale as well.

At arrival your child will need to check in before skating. We will then place a small sticker on your child’s helmet with the division they will participate in for the Spring. If you have not signed up for the Spring season you will be able to sign-up on Sunday. However, if your child plans to skate that day you must register with USA Hockey Inline insurance and bring a printed copy of the registration to the rink with you.

Schedule

• 12:45 – 2 p.m. – Skaters check-in and sign-up late registrants.
• 1 – 1:45 p.m. – Atoms free skate
• 2 – 3:30 p.m. – Scrimmage game all ages (Mite, JR, HS)
     (Kids will be split up by division Mite, JR, HS.
     Each division will skate for 10-minute intervals and then rotate)
• 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. – Skills competition
     (kids will compete within their division)

* A sign will be posted with your child’s name and their division for the Spring season. Teams will be formed after Opening Day.

Volunteers Needed

If you would like to help please see Kim McDonald or Colleen Croce on Sunday. Volunteers are needed to help with atoms, organizing kids for scrimmage games and the skills competition and working the scoreboard.
