Free Roller Hockey for the Year

Free hockey! You read that right. All you need to do is keep an eye on the rink and make minor repairs, recruit and coordinate coaches or place an order for jerseys, pucks and equipment, and distribute it. It’s that easy to be a member of our board. Those are only three of the open positions available to you. A very limited commitment gives you, your child or your spouse free hockey for the spring and fall seasons. Nominations close Wednesday. Nominate yourself now.

Message from the President

Roller hockey in the Winter? The Board of Directors don’t stop working even when we’re not playing.

This winter We are focused on a heavy advertising campaign with the focus on increasing the numbers in the spring. But, before we start, we are asking for your suggestions on ways to increase awareness of our league. Please email me directly (president@efrhl.com) and tell me your suggestions, where we do it, how we do it and of course if you’d like to be a part of it. Do you have experience in Business Development? Advertising? Marketing? PR? We can use your expertise.

We are aware of the continued issues with the rink and rest assured we are working on solutions. I bring this up not only to validate your comments, but also to let you know this is not the forum for negative emails such as “get the old rink back.” Keith Ehrichs has spearheaded this project and he has the board’s support as the town is made aware of the issues and we work to rectify the problems.

Do not be shy. All ideas are good ideas. It means someone is thinking.

I look forward to hearing from you before our November meeting. This will be our top agenda item.

Mahopac to Scrimmage Junior Division

The Mahopac in house team will be coming to East Fishkill to scrimmage our Junior Division on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. Please call the rain number for possible cancellation. Bring both jerseys and arrive a half hour before game time. Good Luck East Fishkill Dragons!
