Players Needed For Travel Teams

The East Fishkill Roller Hockey Club will be assembling travel teams at all age levels to participate in the Hudson Valley Roller Hockey League (HVRHL), this summer. The HVRHL, in the past, consisted of teams from Monroe, Washingtonville, Cortlandt, Bronx, Mahopac, Pearl River and Yorktown. Travel games normally begin as our in-house season begins to end, so this is a great supplement for those who would like to play roller hockey over the summer months. The typical travel season consists of approximately 12 games. Travel teams will play each opposing team at least once at our home rink and once at their rink. We will be hosting travel tryouts sometime in April or May. Please consider trying out. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact our travel director, Kori Riddett (riddett4@aol.com).

East Fishkill and Morris Park met in the 16 U Championship Game to decide who would be the Hudson Valley Champs. After a thrilling 9-9 tie in regulation the game went into overtime. Not much changed once they got there as the 5-minute overtime ended without a winner. From there they went onto the shoot out and this is where East FIshkill took over scoring 3 goals to Morris Park's 2. Great job to both teams for an exciting game and congratulations to the winner East FIshkill.

They won the championship game in overtime 6-5 against the Connecticut Blaze. This team is currently in first place in the Hudson Valley and headed to Hershey, PA in August for the Summer Showdown tournament to see if they can continue their winning streak. Congratulations to Coach McDonald and team. Good luck in August.
